The Power of Bringing a Woman’s Perspective to the Table

March 27, 2026

At our recent FoundHer Sala Session, we gathered to explore what it truly means to be a woman building a career, a business, and a life with intention. Guided by our theme, "Building Boldly, Landing Softly," the conversation centered on navigating ambition while staying grounded in authenticity and community.

Our lead storyteller, Marika, shared her experience working in a male-dominated company early in her career. While she valued the opportunities and lessons she gained, she often found herself looking for another female perspective in the room—a voice that could bring a different lens to decision-making, leadership, and collaboration.

Marika reflected on how women often approach work differently. Rather than making decisions quickly, women tend to thoughtfully consider the impact of their choices on the people around them. This doesn't make them less decisive; it makes them more intentional. Their leadership often balances business goals with empathy, long-term thinking, and meaningful relationships.

For Marika, "Building Boldly, Landing Softly" means having the courage to take up space, share ideas, and pursue opportunities, while also creating environments where people feel supported, heard, and valued. It is about recognizing that strength and softness can coexist—and that some of the most effective leaders embody both.

The session reminded us that women don't need to lead like men to succeed. By embracing our unique perspectives, experiences, and ways of working, we can build boldly while ensuring that those around us have a soft place to land.

As we continue to grow the FoundHer community, we celebrate the power of women supporting women, amplifying each other's voices, and redefining leadership on our own terms.
